There are many stories behind the making of this album. Some of them - tragic, some others - funny, silly, or even absurd. Only the fact that it took 17 years to complete could raise your eyebrow and make you wonder... Well, it has been completed in two stages, we weren´t working on it all those 17 long years. The first one - during 2003 - 2004 - the height of our Psychic Youth and intense psychic and sonic explorations. Then it was cut short by my abrupt leaving for 1.5 years wanderings in Europe and North Africa (Tunisia) and Sedu... Well, he left to Another Plane Without a Plane and a Ticket.
So he left first and there I was - shattered, hopeless, and alone. I gave a promise to myself and him - for he was a Brother - that I will somehow finish this album. However, at that time I didn´t know how to do it ´coz my knowledge of recording software was zilch and a few times I took it to my more technologically advanced friends were fruitless - we had no ideas - nada. Life went on with its miracles and disappointments, joys and pains. I was busy with my work, travelings, and Vasha Dai&The Mutant Band, and the work on the latter project lead me directly to finishing this long-abandoned album. During Covid-19 lockdowns my - the same as everyone´s else - movements between continents became heavily limited and having no access to the skills and equipment of my more technologically advanced friends I started slowly meddling with Audacity. To my great surprise and joy, the work with this software didn´t appear difficult at all - rather contrary - and here we are - you can be judges now.
Sure, had he been alive, this record would have sounded differently, but now it is as it is.
So, the promise has been kept, my conscience is clear and clean, and now Crystalline Explorers can embark on a journey of their own. My mission ends here. Thank you and enjoy.
